  1. What are the age requirements for students attending the event?
DCLA is programmatically designed for middle and high school aged students. There are no actual age requirements, so we leave it to the discretion of the youth leader to make the choice if a student should go. We allow incoming 6th graders, but you need to decide if the individual student can handle the intensity of the conference. We also accept newly graduated 12th graders who want to come as a student.

  9. Do I need to stay in a conference hotel?
We encourage all attendees to stay at conference hotels, but it is not required. We have done our best to offer affordable rates and safe hotels close to the Convention Centers or Metro stops so you can spend time debriefing and implementing the things your group is learning at DCLA.
